Cybersecurity services

Cybersecurity services for small and mid-sized businesses.

Layered, managed protection for your endpoints, email, identities, and network, with the documentation auditors and cyber-insurers ask for. Delivered by the same engineers who run your IT.

  • ESET and Malwarebytes managed protection
  • MFA and identity protection
  • NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC readiness
  • 24/7 monitoring and alerting

Layered defense

Six layers that stop the attacks small businesses actually face.

Most breaches start with a phishing email, a reused password, or an unpatched device. Each layer below closes one of those doors, and we manage all of them for you.

Endpoint Protection

ESET and Malwarebytes protection on every workstation and server, managed centrally, with alerts handled by our team.

Email Security & Phishing Defense

Advanced filtering, impersonation protection, and user reporting that stop the attacks that start with an inbox.

Identity & MFA

Multi-factor authentication, conditional access, and least-privilege administration across Microsoft 365 and line-of-business apps.

Managed Firewall & Network Security

Business-class firewalls, secure Wi-Fi, VPN and remote access, segmentation, and continuous monitoring of your network edge.

Backup & Disaster Recovery

Encrypted, versioned backups for servers, endpoints, and Microsoft 365, tested on a schedule so recovery works when you need it.

Security Awareness Training

Short, regular training and simulated phishing so your people become a defense instead of the weakest link.

Compliance

Security you can prove, not just claim.

NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC readiness

Gap assessments, SPRS scoring support, and System Security Plan documentation for defense suppliers. We run our own operations to the same standard.

Cyber-insurance questionnaires

MFA, EDR, backups, and patching evidence that insurers now require before they quote or renew.

Incident response

A written plan, isolation and containment procedures, and a team that picks up the phone when something looks wrong.

How it works

Assess, harden, monitor.

  1. Step 1

    Assess

The free IT check-up maps your current exposure: endpoint coverage, MFA gaps, backup status, patch levels, and email protection.

  2. Step 2

    Harden

We deploy managed protection, enforce MFA, tighten administrative access, and configure backup and network security in a planned rollout.

  3. Step 3

    Monitor

Alerts flow to our team 24/7. You get plain-English reporting and quarterly reviews, plus the evidence files insurers and auditors request.

FAQ

Cybersecurity questions, answered plainly.

Part of our managed IT services or available on its own. Something we didn't cover? Ask us.

What cybersecurity services does a small business actually need?
Five controls stop the vast majority of attacks on small and mid-sized businesses: managed endpoint protection, multi-factor authentication everywhere, email filtering, tested backups, and consistent patching. Next Plus deploys and manages all five, then adds network security, awareness training, and compliance documentation as your risk profile requires.
Do you help with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC compliance?
Yes. We assess your environment against NIST SP 800-171, help you document a System Security Plan and Plan of Action, support SPRS self-assessment scoring, and implement the technical controls. As a registered federal contractor with DFARS-aware operations ourselves, we know the requirements from the inside.
What happens if we are hit with ransomware?
Our monitoring and endpoint protection are designed to detect and isolate an infected device quickly. If an incident does occur, we follow a written response plan: contain, assess, restore from tested backups, and document for insurers and, where required, regulators.
Can you work with the security tools we already have?
Usually. We standardize on ESET and Malwarebytes for endpoint protection because we can manage them well at scale, but we will review your existing tools during the free check-up and recommend changes only where they reduce risk or cost.
Which areas do you provide cybersecurity services in?
Cybersecurity services are delivered remotely to businesses across California, with on-site work available in Mountain House, Tracy, Stockton, San Joaquin County, Livermore, Dublin, Pleasanton, and the East Bay.
