What managed IT costs, and what moves the number

One price per user per month, in writing, that covers the day-to-day work of keeping a small business running. Projects and hardware are quoted separately. No hourly surprises.

What the monthly price includes

  • Monitoring, patching and tested backups for every workstation and server
  • Endpoint protection, email filtering and multi-factor sign-in
  • Helpdesk by email and phone, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm
  • On-site visits when the fix needs hands
  • Microsoft 365 administration and cloud backup
  • Onboarding and offboarding of staff and devices
  • A monthly report and a quarterly review
  • The evidence files your cyber insurer and auditor ask for

What moves the price

  • How many people and devicesThe price is per user per month. Servers and specialty equipment such as scanners, cameras or point-of-sale systems are priced on top.
  • How much on-site time you wantMost offices need a visit now and then. A warehouse with scanners and a camera network needs more, and that changes the number.
  • Compliance requirementsHIPAA, NIST SP 800-171, cyber-insurance questionnaires and customer audits add documentation work. We price it in rather than bill it by the hour later.
  • What you already haveModern equipment and a tidy Microsoft 365 setup cost less to run than ten-year-old servers and five email systems. The check-up tells us which you have.

How we get to your number

We do not publish a single price because the honest answer depends on your office, and a number that is wrong in either direction wastes your time. What we do publish is the method. The free check-up takes about thirty minutes, mostly remote. You get a one-page written summary of what is fine and what is not, and a quote for your office with the monthly number, what it covers and what it does not.

For context, managed IT providers in the Tracy, Stockton and Modesto area publish per-user prices from about $125 to $200 per user per month. We will tell you plainly where you land and why.

The price stays the same month to month unless you add people or ask for more. Routine work is never billed as a project, and projects are never started without a fixed quote you have approved.

Pricing questions

What does managed IT typically cost in the Central Valley?

Providers in the Tracy, Stockton and Modesto area publish per-user prices from about $125 to $200 per user per month, with minimums for very small offices. Where Next Plus lands for your office depends on the four factors above, and we put the number in writing after the free check-up.

Is there a minimum size?

We work with offices from a handful of people to around seventy-five. Very small offices are welcome; the agreement is sized to the number of users, so a three-person firm pays for three people.

Are hardware and projects extra?

Yes, and they are quoted separately before any work starts. A server replacement, an office move or a new Wi-Fi network is a project with a fixed price. Routine work such as patching, backups and helpdesk is never billed as a project.

How long is the agreement?

Month to month after onboarding, with a notice period, scoped in writing. We would rather earn the renewal than lock you in.

What happens at the free check-up?

About thirty minutes of your time, mostly remote. We review security, backups, patching, email and the network, then send a one-page written summary of what is fine and what is not, together with a quote for your office. No obligation.
